Qi Gong: Cultivating strength from within

Qi gong or “qi cultivation” generally involves a series of breathing exercises coupled with movement and visualization to regulate specific systems of the body. Qi gong may be used during treatment when necessary. More commonly the patient will be prescribed a series of exercises to perform on their own. These exercises can be as simple as standing in place while diaphragmatically breathing, or can be as complex as a sequence of coordinated movements of the arms and legs with varied breathing techniques.
